In addition to her duties as Artistic Director Alison also teaches at Germantown Friends School. Alison was the assistant conductor of Philadelphia's Choral Arts Society, directed by Matt Glandorf, during its 2006-2007 season. Alison graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with an emphasis in vocal performance. She holds a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Temple University, where she was a student of Alan Harler. In addition to Professor Harler, she studied conducting with Tram Sparks and Nicole Paiement and voice with Julianne Baird and Patrice Maginnis. As a participant in conducting Master Classes at Temple University, Eastman School of Music, and the Oregon Bach Festival, she conducted for Joseph Flummerfelt, William Weinert, Tom Somerville, Dale Warland, and David Hayes. An avid choral singer, Alison has performed under the direction of Alan Harler, Paul Hillier, Dale Warland, Matt Glandorf, Jeffrey Thomas, Donald Kendrick, Kern Holoman, and Nicole Paiement, among others. A native Californian, Alison is happy to be experiencing both the East Coast's music scene and real seasons!

			HIROKO YAMAZAKI Collaborative Pianist Hiroko Yamazaki has been heard throughout the Delaware Valley as a soloist and as a collaborator, and has also performed abroad in Rome, Helsinki and Imatra, Finland and Lausanne, Switzerland. As a member of the Juniper Trio, she has performed at the Fundacion Luis Munoz Marin in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has been heard at summer festivals across the country including Luzerne, Aspen and International Festival-Institute at Round Top in Texas. Most recently, she performed Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini with the Wilmington Community Orchestra. In addition to serving as pianist for the Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, she is on the faculty at the Cathedral Choir School of Delaware and Master Piano Faculty with Distinction at The Wilmington Music School. She served as chair of the piano department at The Wilmington Music School for four years, taught at the Darlington Fine Arts Center and Luzerne Music Center and held the position of adjunct faculty at the University of Delaware. She enjoys her summers at the Aspen Music School and Festival teaching and coaching chamber music as Rita Sloan's assistant. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano performance at the University of Maryland as recipient of a four-year Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship and a Presser Foundation Grant. She later returned to the University of Maryland, where she received a Masters of Music in Collaborative Piano studying with Rita Sloan.
